An Autumn Prince Edward County Wedding

It was a warm, sunny October day for a Prince Edward County Wedding between Kirsten and Rob. Both friends of mine from working on a few creative projects together, I was excited they chose me to capture their day.

A standout moment was discovering the Bridal Bouquets were not real flowers but actually made of pages from Harry Potter books. As a Potter fan myself, I was blown away - they were STUNNING! So much time and detail went into crafting them. It added that extra personal touch to their wedding day.

The ceremony and reception took place outdoors on a friend's property in the county. It was an excellent location with a large outdoor green space and barn with decor all around to match. Everything was beautiful, simple, and really fit the personalities of both Kirsten and Rob, who enjoy spending much of their time outdoors.

In keeping with the outdoor theme, I decided to place both Kirsten and Rob in a setting that they're most familiar with - on a trail/in the outdoors. With just the right amount of sun, together, we captured some astonishing golden hour images. Everything tied in together at this moment, and they both were glowing and in love. Maybe it was the sun... but I think they did.

The first dance was a beautiful moment. An outdoor dance floor was created using pallets and plywood and had Christmas lights and Chinese lanterns hung all around the space. This created such a warm, soft glow with an ambiance that photographed so well!

Rob enjoys capturing long exposure astronomy pictures, so it was a special request he had that we do the same with Kirsten and himself. This was about a 30-second exposure; hard for a bride and groom to stand completely still at the bitter end of their wedding day - but I think it turned out great!
